National School Sport Week
Leicestershire and Rutland Sport - School Games Virtual Summer Championships for 2020
Unfortunately, due to these unprecedented times, the Leicestershire and Rutland School Games Summer Championship has been cancelled. This is one of the largest sporting events in the county. However, we are still able to participate with the introduction of the first ever 'Virtual School Games Summer Championships'. Every child in the school is invited to participate in the championship, to represent Broom Leys and North West Leicestershire.
To participate, you simply have to choose one of the HiFive challenges for each of the four categories: Ball Sports, Summer Sports, Athletics and inclusive sports. These can be found here: https://www.lrsport.org/hifive-challenges
Once you have chosen a challenge for each category, the aim is to challenge yourself to beat your personal best.We have attached the Leicestershire and Rutland Sport - Individual Score Sheet which you may want to use to keep record of your personal best. Once you have achieved what you believe to be your personal best, please send your scores to us using the submission form found below. Each entry will collate towards the schools and North West Leicestershire's position in the championships.
The championship launches on Monday 22nd June 2020 and will be running throughout the week. Please ensure that all entries are submitted by 10:00 a.m. on Friday 26th June 2020.
We hope that as many of you can take part as possible. Have fun and enjoy the challenges! Let's see how well we can do as a school!
