The School Day

 

A typical school day for children of different ages is as follows (but remember that the day can change for different reasons!).

Key Stage 1

(Years 1 and 2)

08:50   Children line up in the playground and are taken to class by

the teachers

09:00   Registration closes (children are marked late after this).

10:25   Mid morning break (15 minutes)

12:15   Lunch break

13:20   Afternoon sessions begin, usually with assembly

15:15   End of school

Key Stage 2

(Years 3 - 6)

08:50   Children line up in the playground and are taken to class by

the teachers

09:00   Registration closes (children are marked late after this).

10:55   Mid morning break (15 minutes)

12:15   Lunch break

13:20   Afternoon sessions begin, usually with assembly

15:25   End of school

 

 

Early Years Foundation Stage

 

09:00   Children enter the buildings (parents may accompany)

09:10   Registration closes (children are marked late after this)

12:00   Lunch break

13:20   Afternoon sessions begin

15:15   End of school

 

(Break times for children of this age do not have a fixed time but are taken when required)
